Marca says despite United failing with an opening offer for Ramos, he remains determined to force his way out of the Bernabeu.
Despite Ramos' initial discontent in Spain coming about due to the lack of a contract offer from Madrid, it is now understood that money is not an issue for the player.
He simply wants a change of scenery and a new challenge, both of which he would get at Old Trafford.
United are willing to make Ramos one of their top earners with a £200,000-a-week contract.
