Crawl control

Here you can specify Bing the time to crawl and the crawl rate (faster or slower). Faster crawling can slow down your site so better leave it as default settings.


DeepLinks

META TAG VERIFICATION FOR GOOGLE, BING AND ALEXA

Know your websites statistics and performance in web using GOOGLE WEBMASTERS TOOL, BING WEBMASTERS TOOL and ALEXA and in order to show the statistics of your site Google, Bing and Alexa needs to verify your website.

All the three have various type of verification method like html file upload, XML upload, using domain name provider and more, but what all have in common is Meta tag verification. Meta tag verification for Google

Once you added your site to Google webmaster tools you will see an option “verify your site” click and check HTML tag verification method and you will see a Meta tag like this

In Bing webmaster tools go to “Configure my site” and there you will see “verify your site” open and you will have two options one XML and other Meta tag verification.

Alexa Meta tag verification

In your Alexa Dashboard you can see “claim your site” option in site management. Open and you will be given a verification id like this

Note: To stay verified do not remove these Meta tags from your website.

EASIEST WAY TO CREATE A SITEMAP FOR BLOGGER BLOG

How to create sitemap for Blogger

Creating sitemap is very simple and this sitemap works for both self-hosted Blogger blogs and normal Blogger blogs. Just use this (atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500)next to your blogs URL. See example below.

Now you have created sitemap for your Blogger blog, but you need to tell search engines about your sitemap so that bots can know your site structure. There are two ways to tell search engines about your sitemap.

1. Showing your sitemap in robots.txt file and 2. Submitting your sitemaps in Google webmaster tools

Adding your Blogger sitemap in robots.txt file

Login to your Blogger blog and go to dashboard >> settings >> search preferences and edit the custom robots.txt. Enable and paste the following text and click save changes. Make sure to change your blog name in Blogger sitemap below.


So whenever search engines crawls your site they will access your Blogger sitemap from robots.txt file.

Submitting your Blogger sitemap in Google webmaster tools

Login to your GOOGLE WEBMASTER TOOL and select you website. In your site dashboard click sitemaps below. Now click add/test sitemaps, add your sitemap (just the atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500) and submit your sitemap.

That’s it you have successfully submitted your sitemap in Google webmaster tools. Now it’s ready for crawling and indexing. You can find the number of pages crawled and indexed in Google webmaster tools.

HOW TO REMOVE "powered by blogger" ATTRIBUTE FROM YOUR BLOG

Here we will see about a simple trick on how to remove “powered by Blogger ” attribution from your Blogger blog. People who are using Blogger platform will have this powered by Blogger attribution below their blog. It comes by default in every template and it is an official representation for Blogger. Removing powered by Blogger attribution is simple. Just follow this step by step tutorial on how to remove powered by Blogger attribution using newHTML editor.

How to remove powered by Blogger attribution

1. Go to Blogger.com and login to your Blogger profile

2. Select  your blog that you wish to remove this attribute

3. Now go to template and click edit HTML


4. Here drop-down “jump to widget”  option and from that list select
    Attribution1 as highlighted below




 5.  Now in the editor press ctrl + F and find for this line <b:widget

6. Now replace the locked=’ true’ in to locked=’ false’ as you can see

7. Once done click save template

8. Now go to layout option and at the below you can see attribution
    gadget, click edit.

9. In that popup window click remove and you are done


Now go and view your site where you won’t see the “powered by
Blogger ” attribution.

Your copyright text is also removed along with powered by Blogger
attribution. To add copyright text just click add a gadget in layout
settings select HTML/JavaScript, add your copyright text and drag and
drop it below. Removing this powered by Blogger attribution adds
uniqueness to your blog and it shows your professionalism. Hope this
